It was an ordinary day, and I, an ordinary girl, took a usual descent to the laundry room. With arms filled with dirty laundry, I didn't expect a miracle to happen.
I threw in the laundry, and walked back up the stairs. I inhaled with intention as I felt the heartbeat of the apple clock in front of me. For the first time, I felt the clock. It was as though the clock was in my core-the inmost part of me.
Tick-tock-tick-tock. Time ticked by and as it did, I began to breathe and walk with the sound of the clock's tock.
As I counted the seconds, I breathed with intention. I remembered how quickly the day had gone. I remembered the goodbye kiss I had given to my husband, and the wonderful conversation I had with a friend-all had passed. The day was almost over, and what had I done?
I was approaching that age where we all tend to take a deep look over our life-forty. In two weeks, I would be forty. What had I done with my life?
All of my dreams had come true. What was next for me?
Tick, tock, the sound of the clock. I kept walking around my dining room and then I took out a calculator and calculated out the seconds of a year.
I realized I had been given a wealth of time, for we have all been given over 51 million seconds of time in a year! 51 million seconds! How would I spent it? What will I do with the mext 51 million seconds of my life.
Tick, tock, another second just went by-what will we do with our time. How will we spend it?
I have traveled to India, Mongolia, Fiji, China, Thailand and around the country and one thing I know is this: We have all been given a wonderful gift! We have been given a wealth of time to spend however we choose! We can spend our wealth on whatever we want. Time is a gift, time is wealth, time is a precious commodity. We have been blessed with it. We didn't create it, it was created for us. We need to spend it wisely.
Perhaps time would be a great niche......?!
Time-what a niche!
Ah, the possibilities of a niche.
Consider your gifts, talents, and abilities that God has gifted you with-perhaps, that, my friend, is your niche.
