I awoke and walked our two acres on this beautiful March morning. Our peach trees had its first blossom. I walked over to the peach trees and inhaled with intention. Ah, Spring is here-finally! It's time to plant.
I remembered suddenly, and without even planning on remembering her-I remembered her. I remembered her dark eyes, dark skin, and dark hair. I remember her dirty clothes, and feet without shoes. I didn't know her name and I still don't.
She was a little girl in India and had been devastated by the Tsunami that hit in 2004. I, had the honor of traveling to that place to help.
This little girl was sitting on the beach, eating a leaf-and no, she wasn't playing. She didn't have any parents or toys with her on the beach that day.
This day, today, as I walk my property, I remember her-with full intention and focus.
She is now six years older than she was then. I imagine she would be 11 today. May we all remember her-and pray for the world. May we all be thankful we live in such an amazing Country.
~Dear God, I ask God that you would grant me the serenity to be able to have peace and understand why that is so much hurt in the world. Please bless that little girl in India today, wherever she is. Amen~
